"Programming is thought magic – from ideas, realities are born."
- Linus Torvalds
Hello everyone! My name is Erik Vichr, and I am a dedicated software developer currently enjoying my apprenticeship at UBS and diving deep into the world of technology. My fascination for technology was sparked by many hours spent on the computer, initially playing games, and quickly developed into a passion for software development.
I am proficient in programming languages such as Java, which I use to create simple backend solutions, and JavaScript, which I use to develop interactive websites and small games. My most recent projects include the founding of "GOALGETTER", a company specializing in the marketing of floorball products - both online and soon in its own store in Zurich. I've also launched a few smaller companies with friends, such as "COOLGAMES".
What drives me in this fast-moving field is the desire to keep up to date with new technologies. There are few things more fulfilling than writing code and watching it come to life with ease.
My interests lie particularly in business creation and website development, areas where I see endless opportunities for creativity and innovation.
At UBS, I strive to gain as much knowledge as possible with the goal of not only succeeding in my career, but also supporting my colleagues and applying my skills in all aspects of life.
When I'm not in front of the screen, you can often find me at the gym or playing floorball. These activities are not only a way for me to stay physically fit, but also to practice discipline - an indispensable quality when exploring new technologies or falling into learning adventures in my field of expertise.
My philosophy is based on the interaction between discipline and learning, each reinforcing the other.
